In 1917, Melvin Jones, a 38-year-old Chicago business leader, asked a simple and world-changing question – what if people put their talents to work improving their communities? 93 Years later, a small group of individuals formed a new chapter of Lions Clubs International, The DuPont Lions, to further the dreams and passion of Melvin Jones in the DuPont, Steilacoom, Lakewood, and Joint Base Lewis-McChord Communities.The DuPont Lions operates as a club and a foundation:
